Let say you is a porfessional engineer and now you was in the ancient time at china. now you want to build the great wall. you only have the engineering knowledge and without any help of modern tools. please comment how can you improve the project of building the great wall. thanks!

Hi Kenny,


This is an interesting question, but I would like to know what you mean by "improve" the wall. For example, you could make it much thinner by using reinforced concrete, but then perhaps that will not permit horses to run up and down along it's top.

So, please define whether the geometry should remain the same?
