Question
How much weight can a helecopter lift and factors must a pilot consider when lifting larger construction sections into place? example: our class (CAD) researched & built a CN TOWER model and upon researching dicovered that the top section of the tower was bolted into place with a sikorsky helicopter. thanks for your time, j.owens millington central high school/instructor

Hi Jeff,

This is not really my expertise, but I did some research for you and it appaers that a Sikorsky S-6AF can lift up to 11,000 kg.

This I assume is at sea-level, as capacity reduces with altitude.
