Civil Engineering/p-delta analysis

Hi.I have a question about p-delta analysis which etabs does . Etabs does this analysis only on frame elements with axial force , for doing this nonlinear analysis on shear walls which have great axial loads what should I do ?

Hi Mehdi,

I do not used ETABS, but if it is similar to STAAD, then what I would do is enclose the (shear wall plate) elements with dummy frame elements, so that the axial forces can be summed up at the nodes. This should then be OK for teh p-delta analysis.
