Question
I have a gravel access road 1800'long with core smapling showing fine sand (beach type) fifteen feet deep, how do I figure out what is needed to be done in order to allow the road to handle 50,000 lbs GVW?

Answer
Dear Sir,

I'm sorry, but this is outside my area of expertise.

You may want to consult with a Geotechnical Engineer specializing in Pavement design. In addition, you may consult some references in this area, one of which is "Principles of Pavement Design" by E.J. Yoder & M. W. Witczak.

Hope this helps.
