Question
a continuous column does not have the starter bars at the right position for the next level(but inside the column and  with enough lap length). what are the cases which i can avoid the cranking of starter bars?

Hi Shiju....,

For circular columns you do not need cranks- just lay the rebar adjacent to the starters. You can do the same for square/rectangular columns, apart from the corner bars that should be cranked so that they remain at the corners.
