Question
Hi. I am doing a science project and it is how daily objects are related to science in at least one way. One object i have chosen is a swamp boat. The field of science that is related to a swamp boat is engineering. The study of mechanics and electrics. Can u Please help me? This project is due on April 18, 2007. Thank you! I really will appreciate it! :)

Answer
Hello Meriem,

Air boat is not really my field of expertise but I can provide you connection to the scientific principles involved.

First principle involved is buoyancy principle i.e. weight displaced of water is more then the weight of the boat and it floats. Other principle involved is propeller i.e. engine system which is based on air jet principle. Air is compressed and leave providing thrust to the boat. you can do simple net searching or shuffle through books to get good idea about it.

Third principle involved is related to navigation i.e. effect of wind and other objects on the high speed objects. Impact provided by a small object to a object moving with heigh speed is equal to a very big object striking. Bernoulli's principle is also applicable.

Last thing is electrical circuits or electronics if available on the swamp boat.  You can do work on this topics

Hope this helps
