Clarinet/used clarinet reeds

Question
Hi, I just bought a used clarinet and it came with USED clarinet reeds. Is there any way to sanitize clarinet reeds?

Hi Joel,   You can either boil them in water for 4-5 minutes [this will take some of the life out of them because they will be a bit water logged]..or you can wipe with a mouthwash or other non lethal [to you] disinfectant before using them....Cheers   JACK
