Clarinet/Value of Clarinet

Question
I am trying to determine the value of my Yamaha YCL-24 clarinet, ser # 054805A.  I also need to clean off some stickers that were placed on it, and started to use "Goof Off" as the man at the music store recomended, but it seemed to harm the finish, so I stopped.  Any suggestions on how to clean it properly and remove these old stickers?

Answer
Hello Jim.....The Yamaha YCL-24 is a good quality [plastic] student level clarinet...This series was made in Japan 1979-1986....They sell on EBAY for $150-300,if in good condition....The best thing for removing 'stickers' off of a plastic clarinet would be warm to hot soapy water, and lots of elbow grease...Use a non abrasive cloth so as to not leave scratches on the surface...Avoid getting the pads wet....Good luck...Cheeers   JACK
