Question
How to change the home page address?

Answer
Hi,

When creating a web site or adding a web page,
the address of the page comes from the name of
and location of the file (yourpage.html).

The first part is the URL of the site that you upload to, e.g.
http://home.nycap.rr.com

Then, you add the containing folder name(s) that
make up the path to your page (file).
http://home.nycap.rr.com/blais/crosswinds/

folders are separated using "/".
If you end the address with a "/" and no filename
browsers will try to load the index of the last
folder before "/".
If you name your file "index.html" it will load
automatically (on most servers).
http://home.nycap.rr.com/blais/crosswinds/(index.html is the default)

Next comes the name of your file (the name that
you have saved the file as). e.g. "photos02.htm"
All together the address is:
http://home.nycap.rr.com/blais/crosswinds/photos02.htm

When creating your site on your hard drive to upload later,
you should keep the folders and files within them -- the
same as on the web server.
The only difference would be that your hard drive name
is the first part of the address instead of the web server
URL. e.g.
HardDrive/blais/crosswinds/photos02.htm

Hope this helps,
