Classic/Antique Car Repair/Ford Pinto headlight switch removal

Question
How do you remove the headlight switch on a 1976 Ford Pinto?  We pulled the
instrument cluster out and can see the back of the switch, but don't know where
to go from there..

Answer
There should be a small spring loaded button on the switch on the opposite side from the wiring. Push that button and remove the headlight knob and shaft. Once that is out then you can unscrew the bezel from the dash and that will disconnect the switch from the dash. Unhook the wiring harness and you have the switch in your hand. Good luck.
