Question
QUESTION: I have replaced sparkplugs and wires, coil, battery, points, condenser, rotor and cap. |One cylinder intermittently runs rough when I first startup the vehicle. |I can get the cylinder to fire properly by removing the sparkplug wire and putting it back on a couple of times. |I have interchanged the wires and spark plugs and the same cylinder still doesn't fire properly until I remove the wire a couple of times. Any suggestions. |Could it be a sticking lifter. |All parts are stock and the engine has 60,000 miles.

ANSWER: What engine do you have in the Jeep and which cylinder does not fire right?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: It's a four cylinder F4-134. I don't know the  plug number but the position is the 2nd plug/wire from the front of the engine.  The firing order is 1 3 4 2. I'm not certain of the number of the 2nd plug. Thank you for any assistance as I have some mechanical knowledge but it's limited.

Answer
Several things come to mind. I believe that there is a vacuum take of on the intake manifold right at number two cylinder. Check and make sure that there is not a vacuum leak at their line. I would also like to see you get a compression check on the engine before we go further.
Let me know.
