Question
The fuel guage on my mustang does not work. stuck in the middle, but can go up to full but doesnt' go past middle. What do I do? I tried bending the sending unit rod but had no results still middle.

Answer
Disconnect the wire from the fuel gage to the sending unit. Ground the wire with a jumper. Turn on the key and if the dash gage goes up to full, the wiring and the dash gage is ok. The problem is a defect in the sender. There are companies that advertise in Hemmings Motor News that reproduce and sell these units. www.hemmings.com.
