Classic/Antique Car Repair/Turbo 400

Question
Have a turbo 4oo that makes a clicking noise in first gear and third gear. Does not select gears when in drive. Having to shift manually and takes too long to shift.

Answer
Ross, I don't know what a turbo 400 is, but the easy answer is low on trans fluid.  Automatic trans are very simple to those who work on them. It should be easy to fix.  Sounds like it is trying to shift. Make sure the fluid is up and if that is not the prob, then take it apart yourself or have someone else do it.
Sorry I can't be of much help.
