Question
I have 81 vet that was parked for about 13+ years I removed the carb and sent it to a florda rebuilder tohave rebuilt to factory spects i replaced on the car i thougt it was right but it runs ok but the choke light stays on please i need help what could i have done wrong?

Answer
I am  Model A guy, but I will tell you what I think.  In '81, the choke was automatic so I don't know what a choke light is or what it is supposed to tell you.  If the engine like the new carb, and the choke is not on after warm up, don't worry about it.  If it was a light that was supposed to tell you the choke was still on, then there must have been a switch on the linkage to turn the light on.  Look for something that looks like a switch near the choke linkage.
Other things you can do is:
Get hold of a service manual for your car.
Find a vette car club and ask them.
Find a vette car club on the internet and ask them.  In the mean time, enjoy your car.
You can just look at the choke and see if it is on.  If it is not on, then the choke is not a problem.
Wish I could be of more help.
Good luck.
