hi i got a 57 chev with a stock 283 engine, its leaking from the rear main i just want to know how to fix it? thanks

Answer
The best way is to pull the engine and check all bearing clearances when removing the crankshaft to replace the seal. It can be done with the engine in the chassis by removing the oil pan and snaking the seal out of it grove and then snaking a new seal in place.
