1981 corvette 350 auto choke light on dash is on fast idle wont kick off & choke only opens about 1/4 inch oil pressure sending unit single wire thank you

Answer
According to my reference material it is supposed to be a two pole switch. One wire comes from the ignition switch and the other runs to the choke coil. Between the switch and the choke coil a wire from the choke light should join the wire to the choke coil.
