Classic/Antique Car Repair/66 mustang brake light not working

Question
QUESTION: The right brake light on my 66 mustang will not work.  The blinker and park light work just fine, but the brake light does not. I have eliminated bulb issues by installing a new bulb.  Looking at the wiring diagram, it appears that the brake light and blinker run on the same wire.  Any suggestions on how to get the brake working?

ANSWER: If the left side works and the brake light works when the directional is in the straight ahead position, the answer is the directional switch has a burned contact and needs to be replaced.

QUESTION: The brake light does not work at all though.  Only the blinker

Answer
Ok, if you have no brake lights on either side then the problem is most likely the stop light switch. The stop light switch is located at the top of the brake pedal on the push rod. Check to be sure that you have voltage going into the switch and voltage coming out when the brake pedal is pushed. To remove the switch remove the spring clip and then the switch.
