Question
I have 1977 corvette which needs a new camshaft.my Question is is it ok to fit a performance cam as i have already fitted a four barreled holly double pumper

Answer
It depends on what you are going to do with the car. It has been my experience that a stock Vette will provide enough power stock to get you into trouble. I have one old car that is a street rod that has chrome and hot looking stuff on the outside of the engine, but don't tell anyone, the inside of the engine is stock. The second thing is that any performance cam is going to effect the low speed operation of the engine and may make it unpleasant to drive say in traffic. But, it is up to you.
