Classic/Antique Car Repair/Convertible top

Question
My wife has a 1966 mustang with a convertible top.  She got the engine rebuilt and now the top does not work.  I pulled the back seat and at the plug to the motor, with it disconnected so I only have open leads, I get about 1.5 to 1.7 volts when the switch is activated.   Any suggestions?

Maybe you have a tripped circuit breaker. It should be on the hot side of the starter solenoid. Also check the fluid, if low that may have trip the breaker. It isn't wired in with anything else. Try removing the breaker and hooking the wire straight to the solenoid in the same place the breaker is hooked up. If that seems to solve the problem, replace the breaker. If not, you might need a new pump motor. Hope that helps.
