Question
BRAD, i have a 1988 560sl mercedes. when im crusing around town my check engine light comes on, then i can get out and run 50mph+ and it goes out till i start running low speeds again. thanks for your help,,jason

Answer
Is this a yellow or red light? If it is red it could be that you are showing low oil pressure at low engine speed. If that is the case you will need to get a mechanical gage connected to test the engines oil pressure. If the engine shows good pressure then replace the oil pressure sender. If the light is yellow then you have a problem in the Lambda system and will need a computer check.
