Question
I am having a terrible time getting the master cylinder out of car.  I beleive I have disconected everything yet I can not free the master from the shaft that goes through clutch and brake petal.  I took off the U clip but clutch and brake will not slide off of shaft. Can U help

Answer
Boy, you are pushing the old gray matter to the limit. Look at the master cylinder where the shaft goes through the cylinder. Is there a set screw there with a lock nut? If so loosen the nut and remover the set screw. The shaft then should tap out with a plastic hammer. Let me know.
