Question
Why, when I take a right turn rather quickly, does my car die?  Then when I park to do shopping and then come back it will not start.  This also happens after I have been on the interstate doing 60 mph. Why?

Answer
I know about Model A fords, not the modern iron.  Something like you describe can be caused by an intake air leak.  It means nothing under load, but when the throttle blade is cclosed, the air leak becomes large and can make you run lean.  The other place to look for the cause, is in the carb bowl.  The level may be too  high or too low.  Sorry, but that's the best I can do.  Find yourself a vw club and join it.  they will be able to help you.
