Question
where does firing order start front of motor or rear i know order but how does it lay out on distributor.707 569 4058

Answer
I am a Model A guy, but I will try to help you.  The #1 cylinder is the front one.  Determine which way the dist. turns, then try to find out which contact in the dist. is #1.  There must be a pin that falls into a notch, or something that will tell you that #1 cyl is at the top.  If you can't find that, then take a plug out and stick a thin rod down on top of the piston and turn the engine until the piston is on top.  This has to be the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke.  You should be able to figure that out.  Take an ohm meter and determine which contact goes to #1 spark plug.
With the #1 piston on top, line up the rotor to the #1 dist contact, and go from there.  I sure hope this helps and does not screw you up.  Good luck.
