Classic/Antique Car Repair/IH carb/governor

Question
Not sure where to post, but I think this is as close as I can get.

I have a 1952 IH/Farmall Tractor.  Yesterday, after starting and running fine, the engine suddenly quit and would not re-start.

The throttle feels a little looser than before, though the linkages are all connected.

Can a governor malfunction keep an engine from starting?
Or is this more likely worn points or a clogged fuel system?

Thanks in advance.

David

Answer
That should not keep the engine from starting. Last year in the middle of a show field my Ford 8-N died and I had to be towed back to the show line. It was sediment in the elbow where the fuel line screws into the tank. Check the ignition and fuel systems.
