Classic/Antique Car Repair/73 Dodge Charger

Question
I have a 73 Dodge Charger with 40k original miles that has been sitting in my garage hopefully gaining value for about 14yrs in perfect condition.

The problem is that it was garaged with gas in the tank. Now I am preparing to sell it and find the gas has mostly evaporated leaving rust in the tank.  Are there any places that I can go in the Boston area to flush this rust out and restore the inside of the tank? Do I try to find another gas tank?  Please advise

Answer
It used to be that radiator shops would boil out your gas tank for you. But I do not know of any now that will do that. There is a process that you or your local garage can do. Several places sell a sloshing compound that you pour into the tank once it is off the car. Then you tilt and slosh the compound around to coat the inside of the tank. It will seal small leaks in the tank and will seal the rust. POR 15 sells there version and Bill Hirsch also sells a version. You can google POR 15 and find a dealer. LeBaron Bonney in Amsbury is a POR 15 dealer.  Hirsch has an ad in Hemmings and his phone is 1-800-828-2061.
