Question

Front of 1963 Thunderb
We have a 1963 Ford Thunderbird and would like to know how the high beam and low beam headlamps are supposed to work when they are turned on. When the high beam is turned on is the low beam also illuminated?

Answer
Each of the two outer headlamps have two filaments. The inner bulbs only have one. When the low beam headlights are on the two outer bulbs then run the low beam filament. When you switch to high beam the outer switch to high beam and the two inner bulbs light up.
