How would you go about cleaning a fuel tank?

Hi Kirk:
It really depends on the fuel tank. Some tanks have a plug that can be removed to drain the excess fuel while the tank remains on the car. Other tanks don't, and must be drain from the gas input area after removing the tank from the car, which is a much harder job.

Which ever you have, you should flush the tank using a fair amount of regular gasoline to remove any sediment in the tank.
