Question
I have a 235Ci engine with a power glide trans. At Idle and reving in the drive way she performs perfect. I drive onthe street fine. She boggs down at speed at about 34-40 and wont go any higher. It feels like its losing the fuel pump.

Thank you,

Noel.

Answer
noel you are probably on the right track thinking fuel pump. However I would start with a fuel filter change. If the carburetor is original there is a porous brass filter in the inlet of the carburetor. Check for an external filter. If the filters are OK then a fuel pump pressure and volume check is in order.
