Question
I just purchased a '72 Rolls with 28k miles on it.  It has been in a garage for the past 15 years.  I do not want to try to start it until I change all the fluids and filters.  My problem is that it appears the rear breaks are locked.  When I went to check the emergency break, it would not pull out and there was noting on it to seem to let it release.  how can I get the breaks unlocked to get it free to roll out of the garage.  I am excited about this find.  The body and interior are in excellent condition.  Let me know any suggestion you might have.
Thanks,
John

Answer
Hello John, you can release the e brake at the rear wheels there is an adjusting nut 1/2 9/16 below the calipers very easy to identify. please make yourself familiar with the braking system Rolls Royce cars utilize. it is a Citroen design and very complex, and very unforgiving of neglect from lack of use. also remove the sparking plugs an add marvel mystery oil or equivalent into the cylinder bores let sit at least 1 day before attempting to turn the engine over by hand with a socket on the crank DO NOT USE THE STARTER MOTOR. if it turns then you can use the starter. Best of luck
