Question
Here the problem. What do you think is wrong when I put the car any gear besides P and N it doesn't go anywhere?

Hi Mike:
That depends... If by select any drive gear there is absolutely know movement at all in the car (e.g. you can't even tell the car is in a gear), then your gear linkage to most likely broken or has come loose or the gear stick has come loose from the linkage. However, if there some slight movement and you can feel the transmission engaging, then you have slippage in the transmission. Transmissions don't normally fail overnight, so if it just stopped working, I'd check the linkage first.
