Question
I have a 1954 chevy with a 235CI engine and a powerglidetransmssion. I recently installed a Pertronix elctronic ignition modifiction in my distributor. When i start the car my carburetor leaks a lot of fuel. Can you provide any advise?

Answer
I don't know much about your car, but it could be the float sticking open, the float valve leaking, or the float has a hole in it and is sinking in the fuel it is supposed to float on.  Take it apart and ckeck to make sure it is free to move and be sure it floats and will seal off the flow of fuel.
Sorry I can't be of more help.  Good luck
