Question
QUESTION: I have 58 biscayne 235 and the center drive shaft bearing is out. I was wondering what tools one would need to replace such a part.

ANSWER: According to the 1958 Chevrolet service manual you will  need to have a press to remove and replace the bearing. The shaft can be removed from the car with normal hand tools and a socket set.

QUESTION: I installed a brand new speedometer cable on my 58 chevy biscayne l6, it isn't working. Is there anything else that one would have to do other than just install it to get it to work?

Answer
Take the end of the cable off the speedometer head and leave it connected to the transmission. Jack up and support the rear wheels and start the engine, put it in gear and accelerate till the rear wheels are turning. If the inner cable is rotating everything in the transmission is ok. If not you will need to check the speedometer drive gear in the transmission. If it is spinning then the problem is in the speedometer head.
