Question
Hello and gooday to you ,I sure hope you can help me,I bought this car a few weeks ago and the brakes are out,the first thing that is a stumper is the brake pedal is stuck to the floor, and of'corse the car has no brakes, the booster or master looks like a bottle jack kind of,anyone whom I've asked even brake people are stumped,it looks like a drum system,I'd sure  be greatful for any help you can shoot me,again thanks,Jimmy.(414)651-7669

Answer
The brake system is called Treadle and was made by Bendix. The only external cause of the pedal being on the floor is for the pin to have fallen out that connects the brake pedal to the unit. otherwise it will need to be removed and overhauled. If there is no one local that can do this check with Hemmings Motor news, the old car hobbies classified bible. www.hemmings.com
