Question
ok I'm stumped here. I had a dash fire recently been re wiring for weeks and all is good except cannot get my turn signals to work properly I am using a basic on off on as turn switch all wires go to proper locations but when i use them all indicators flash like emergency's are on, also when i step on the brakes all turn lights come on like all on brake cicuit cannot seem to get it right I'm sure wiring is correct badground need adifferent switch? also hi beams not working using generic 3 position switch to factory dimer lows work when i hit dimmer to hi beam only dash hi beam indicator light comes on all driving lights on but no headlights i know they were working before fire help?

Answer
The basic on off switches do not have internal wiring necessary to route the circuits to properly operate the units. The switches that control the directional have multiple contacts in them that when in different positions connect different wires and circuits. You cannot get this action from simple on off switches.
