Classic/Antique Car Repair/69 Ford Fairlane - no wipers & no turn indicator

Question
Recently bought the above vehicle and the turn signals quit working the same time the wipers stopped working.  Are these two items on the same switch?  The fuse for the signals and lamps are good.

Answer
The wipers and the turn signals get their power from the ignition switch to the fuse block. Then to each individual system. If they both stopped at the same time I would suspect the ignition switch or the wiring from the switch to the fuse block. Use a voltmeter or a test light to check for voltage at the fuse for the turn signal and wipers. If there is voltage at both sides of the fuse then the problem is in the wipers and directional. If there is no voltage at either side of the fuse with the key in the run position then the problem is back in the wiring, the connector at the steering column, or the ignition switch.
