Question
Whenever I rev the engine in park, it has excess vibration when you decelerate.
I think I may have put to much oil in just before this started happening. Could this be the cause?
Have replaced the pan gasket because there was a leak.
Now it seems like there is a small leak around the right side of bellhousing.
Any ideas about what is causing this? Thanks, Woody

Answer
I don't think too much oil would cause the vibration.  Just get it down to the correct level.  Take a close look at the fan blade and check for cracks.  Make sure the crank pulley does not have any slop in it.  Just try to turn the fan back and forth and if it moves very far, the crank pulley may be broken or loose.  There should be no oil on the rt. side of the b/hsg.  Just the clutch and flywheel are in there.  Your main brg. may have wiped out.  That would also give you a loud knock.  If it is really shaking, then something is about to come apart.  Be very careful looking in there when it is running.  Also, check the water pump bearings.  Something is way out of balance.
That's about all I can suggest.
Good luck and get back to me if you need anything else.
