Classic/Antique Car Repair/fuel tank installation

Question
I'm helping a friend assemble a basket '30 Model A 2-door sedan.  How does the fuel tank install to prevent water leakage in the car?  Does something go between the tank/cowl and the receiving edges of the body?  Is there an illustration for doing this?  I appreciate your help and thanks.
Pat

Answer
The best thing you can do is follow the instructions shown in the Model A Mechanic's Handbook that we all have and use.  About $35  from MARC or any of the parts suppliers.  Get vol 1, the red one.  It has a big section on the tank.  There is welting between the tank and body.
You should have this book anyway.  It will help you with a lot of things.
Good luck
