Question
I bought a new lock for the passenger door. The tip of the lock isn't long enough
to fit into the slot that locks and unlocks the door. What can I do?

Answer
The first thing that I do in a situation like this is to contact the seller and see if anyone else has reported the problem. More that once the seller has said to send it back so they can check it out. If the parts is claimed to be correct I have been known to use brazing and or epoxy to extend the shaft to make it work. The other situation is that some one may have replaced the door at one time with one from a 49 or 51. But the first step that I make is to contact the seller.
