Question
how do i remove rear axels with no inspection cover on 1957 chevy 210

Answer
Remove the wheel and the brake drum. Behind the axle flange you will find 4 nuts. Remove them and the washers. You will need some sort of a sliding hammer puller to remove the axle shaft and bearing from the housing. I usually take the brake drum and install it over the lug studs backwards. Then put the nuts on catching them only by a few threads so that the drum will move back and forth on the studs. Then I use the brake drum as a sliding hammer to loosen and pull the axle shaft out. It has always worked for me.
