hi my name is nathan an i have a 1977 ford f100 with a 351w my grandfather left me when he passed away.i need to know were the fuel pump is,some people tell me its in the gas tank an others tell me its not,an i just need to know were its at.thanks!!

Hi Nathan:
It's best to follow the fuel line to locate the exact position of the pump. Just follow the line from the carb down the side of the engine. It should be on the left front side near the steering rod. It is NOT in the gas tank. They didn't start putting fuel pumps in the gas tank until the late 80's.
