Answer
First, you better get the model A mechanics handbook.  A great book we  all have and use.  About $35 from MARC or one of the A parts suppliers.  Join a Model a club if there is one near you.
There are a lot of books on the A.  You are about to have a lot of fun with that old car.
You can get a 6 volt tractor battery from Tractor Supply.  It is just like what the A used.  We all use them.  See if the engine will turn over with a crank, if you have one.  If not, take out the plugs, put it in 3rd gear and give it a push.  See if the engine will turn over.  From here, you just have to start taking things apart that don't work, and assume that the rest is OK until you find out different.  If it ran when it was put away, get a battery, check the oil. (30 weight, or whatever), put some gas in it and try to start it.  It just might start.
I could go on and on, but you have to try a few things first.  Good luck, and let me know how you make out.
