Question
Just received a 72 Rolls looking for the hood release and the door release to the gas tank.

Answer
Hello Samuel. The petrol flap release solenoid is activated via the momentary switch on the lower portion of the fascia panel next to the steering column. now when you say hood that refers to the drop head coupé, Corniche. if so the release for the top are the two large plated handles on either corner where the hood meets the wind screen. If you are perhaps referring to the engine bay, then this is the bonnet release. and that is located mid section of the knee bolster near the bottom of the steering column. square in shape and ebony in colour.
