QUESTION: my friend has a 1990 f150 2wd p/u with a 302 the truck starts right up but when it gets warmed up and you give it gas it diesany thoughts

ANSWER: Is the stock? has it been modified? Is it equipped with the original fuel injection?

QUESTION: yes it has the original engine stock with fuel injetion

Answer
This could be a computer related problem, a plugged fuel filter, a bad fuel pump, a defective ignition coil, or a defective ignition module. I would recommend that the computer be scanned first to check for trouble codes then take a fuel pump pressure and volume test if the computer comes up clean. This is an electronically computer controlled machine and the old car simple diagnostic procedures are out the window.
