Question

Ford A Pickup 1931
Hello, I live in Germany and i have a rattle problem inside the steering column at my Ford A Pickup, built in 1931
I hope you can help me to find out, how I have to remove the Horn Switch and than the steering wheel.
I am not sure, if I have to remove first of all, the Light Switch at the Bottom of steering column.
Sorry for my English, it is not the best, but i hope, you did understand my problem.
If you like, you can answer direct to my e-mail:
Greetings from Germany, Hubert

Answer
Get the book, Handbook for the Model A mechanic.  Great book, about $35 from MARC or any supplier.
Yes, remove the light switch, then the little keeper to get the switch rod out.  Pull it out and then take the big nut off and the wheel will come out.  It may be hard to get the rod all the way out.  You may have to loosen the column at the gas tank.
Get that book and good luck.
