Question
ANY TIPS ON GETTING TO PARTS BEHIND DASH OF 48 FORD SUPER DELUXE? DOES THE DASH COME OFF OR WAS IT BUILT WITH THE DASH IN PLACE? I AM HAVING GREAT DIFFICULTY GETTING TO STUFF BEHIND DASH ON DRIVER SIDE. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

Answer
I'm sorry, but I have never been down that road before.  Later, the I/P's rotated around a pivot at the panl lower reinforcement.  Attached at the side cowl, just above your knee.  See if there is a bolt in that area.  If there is, then you might try to loosen the screws at the lower windshield fence and see if it rotates toward you.  We used to just fight it and get some kid with small hands in there.
Find a V8 Ford car club and join it.  They will answer all your questions.
You also could try MAC's, or Snyders, or Brattons.  Somewhere there should be someone at those three supplier's who can answer your questions.
MAC  800 777 0948
Snyders  888 262 5712
Brattons 301 253 1929  For parts--- 800 255 1929

Good luck
