Classic/Antique Car Repair/Borg Warner OD Unit

Question
Jack,
I have a 1930 Tudor which I believe has an old Borg Warner OD unit in the torque tube. It is stamped WG DIV and underneath it an alphanumeric number. What is the best way to get information on this unit? I think I have an operating solenoid that has gone bad. It keeps blowing a fuse on the red hot lead wire going to the solenoid. It has another wire that goes to I believe a governor on the opposite side of the OD cast iron housing. Searching for a new solenoid or fix. Thanks.

Answer
I don't know anything about those units.  No one in our club has an OD unit.  Assuming that the solenoid is bad, try to by pass it and see if that does anything.  I see that Snyders and Mac's both sell the OD unit.  Call them and maybe they can tell you who can help you.
Good luck,
jack
