I asked a question earlier today regarding trying to find a old 1963 Lincoln Convertible that my Dad had owned. I received the rudest response from you stating that you don't answer homework questions. I am a 32 year old mother of two and my Dad is 70 years old. He is honestly is looking to find his old car. I don't think you should advertise to answer questions for people if you don't want to be bothered by them. This was a sincere question and I feel very disgusted by your response. I think you should reconsider your job! So Rude!

Every car and light truck model year 1981 or later has a unique 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN). A VIN has many important uses, including unlocking important information about a vehicle's history.

Since your dad's car was a 63, it would not be in a CARFAX VIN database. There are two other options for finding this car...

1. If the car is still in your state, you can provide the VIN number to you local DMV or search for it online (if your state has a searchable VIN database).

2. If the car is NOT registered in your state, you can try the Lincoln Antique Car Club to see if the number is in their database.
