I have a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 and have seen some really nice steering wheels on newer models that I would love to put into mine, but they are always listed for very specific models.  I have been looking at the MoMo 2202 adapter, but I don't know how many holes the newer ones have, or even how many mine has.  That same applies to some of the beautiful Lincoln, Cadillac, etc. steering wheels out there.  Also, although I wouldn't care if the buttons on it were inoperative, it would be great if there was a way to make them work. Do you know of a way to hook up my current cruise control to the controls on the wheel?  Thanks.

I have volunteered to answer questions that relate to “Automotive Wooden Interior Trim” - specifically the “Real” wood trim parts found in Jaguars, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Bentleys, BMWs, Jensen Healeys, Austin Healeys, Triumphs - etc. etc. etc.

I am sorry, but I don't have an answer to your question because those things can be quite complicated...and very vehicle specific.  

Surely you are not the first person wanting to replace your stock steering wheel with something different.  The best place I can think of....for great information on Jaguars, is a website called  Jag-Lovers.org

It is a website that has been built and maintained by Jaguar enthusiasts.  It has a wealth of information already there.....AND if you can't find it, you can post your question and I'll bet that you get a lot of help.  The site has so much information, it is a little tricky to navigate until you get used to it.

Also for what it is worth, I would think that you might want to search for a Jaguar car club in your area.  (google search for Jaguar Clubs of North America) Many folks in clubs are very helpful people and may be able to help you find your answer...making a friend or two in that "world" would be very helpful, especially if you are going to do mechanical work yourself.  Who knows, maybe one of those folks has had the same interest or can assist you personally with the answer to your question.
