Question
How do you go about re-keying a passenger door key lock? I removed the lock body with the square rod from the car and I'm not sure that I have the correct key to open it. It seems "frozen". It hasn't been turned to the lock position in many years. It's a Briggs and Stratton lock with a patent date of Dec. 29, 1925. How do you open it up to access the tumblers?
Any help in lieu of buying a new one is appreciated.
Ed

Answer
I have no idea, and have never heard of someone having this prob.  If you can get it out, take it to a lock smith and see what he thinks.  If you are down to problems like this, your car must be in good shape.
Sorry I can't help.
Good luck and I hope I can help you with other things.

Too late now, but you could have just gathered up old keys from everyone and found one that works. I did that for a rumble lock, then I never used it!!!
Have fun
