Classic/Antique Car Repair/Life of a Model A engine

Hello Jack, what do you think is the engine life in miles for a well maintained (oil change every 500 miles, careful warming up, max. 45 mph) Model A stock engine? Thank you in advance. Regards Gernot

I don't have a lot to base this on, but I think you could get up to 50,000 miles on a well maintained engine. I have 30 on mine and it was not "new"  when I got it and I have no plans to do anything big to it. Go to and ask that question. You will get a ton of answers there. Jack
